Weather or not, here rain comes

It’s Vancouver. It rains. But you know, whenever I open my Apple Weather Widget and get the forecast for Vancouver and see a report like THIS, it never fails to make me laugh.

you know what? Dredge English Bay and dollars to doughnuts there’s a wreck of Noah’s Arc at the bottom. 40 days and 40 nights? That’s every damned winter in this city! As a local, it don’t bother me none; i have a nice waterproof jacket from Army & Navy and a pair of waterproof Docs. But it always amuses me to hear the reactions of people who just moved here when they ask “when will it stop raining?!” and I say “about four months”.

Hey, you know, look at this – I actually had time to make a five minute post. This leaving work at 10pm every single day thing may just be calming down – it’s only 7pm now and I’ve probably only got another hour left! Only an 11 hour day today? Wow! It’s like Christmas in March!

Hopefully, in a month I’ll get my life back and find fifteen minutes to breathe some life into my horrifically outdated “Tiki Johnny” blog. Its barren pages are a testament to the crazy hours I’ve been pulling for the past few months.

I gotta tell ya Kevin… Bec and I don’t feel it rains that much here. One thing we do know though: the forcasters here are nuts! I swear they just look out the window, and whatever the condition is at the moment, becomes the 5-day standard. ^_^
